Этот клип дался мне мучительно и очень долго (я начала его делать ещё до нового года). Потому что во первых, пришлось пересмотреть все серии на английском, во вторых герой Раста Коула кажется мне (вот парадокс) на много тяжелее и сложнее того же Ганнибала. И чтобы как-то логически увязать всю его историю, показать моё видение на него, надо было проникнуть в его голову, в эстетику его движений, одолжить на время видение его мира. В итоге получился вот такой герой, который, не смотря на своё отношение к религии и миру в целом, очень сильно хочет добраться до Истины. То, что ему не наплевать, в самом начале как бы намекает Марти. В течении клипа видно как его колбасит и что он готов добраться до сути любыми методами, но он не сдаётся. Клип не заканчивается обретением Истины (в отличии от сериала), а заканчивается Растом, философски и сосредоточенно вглядывающимся в "чёрную дыру".

Песня "Jesus for the Jugular" - The Veils сама по себе тема для рассуждения. Она такая невероятная находка для True Detective и для Раста. Потому что лирика очень хитрая и имеет двойное дно.

Aint nobody ever gonna ever have to die" is very interesting. going for the jugular means to attack someone at their weakest most crtical point. This could symbolise how religion sucks people in by offering them eternal life, (aint nobody gonna ever have to die) and the fear of death is the weakness of many people.

By the way im pretty sure that when it says how do you preach the word if you dont know how to read , its saying that whoever preaches the word either doesnt follow it to be telling other people what to do , or if you misinterpret it or dont understand it how are you going to tell people what its saying in the book?
